Participants who plans to enter the Republic of Korea must have a valid visa as a basic requirement for entry. However, in accordance with visa agreements by country, exemptions are available in some countries. Participants eligible for visa waivers must apply for K-ETA which is required for visa waiver entrants.

K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization)
Those entering Korea without a visa must obtain K-ETA approval before boarding their flight or ship. However, in accordance with K-ETA agreements by country, exemptions are available in some countries. Please [click here] to see the exempted countries/regions.

  • You can apply for K-ETA via the official website or mobile App(K-ETA).
  • K-ETA can take more than 72 hours depending on the situation.
  • K-ETA fee is 10,000KRW (approximately USD $9~10, additional fee excluded) and is non-refundable even if the application is denied.
  • Those who have the K-ETA are not required to submit an arrival card at the port of arrival.

Diplomatic-Official passport holders are exempt from the K-ETA requirement.
